  • Installation
    1. Remove drain plug from housing cap if present and allow oil to drain from cap. Remove housing cap, old gaskets/O-Rings, and filter element. Discard the used filter element and gaskets/O-Rings in the proper manner.
    2. Clean filter housing components and apply a light coating of clean engine oil to the new provided gaskets/O-Rings. Install, being careful to avoid damage to the gaskets/O-Rings. Avoid twisting of the gaskets/O-Rings.
    3. Install new filter element into the housing cap. Reinstall the housing cap and tighten to the proper installation torque as listed on the housing cap or in the service manual. Reinstall the housing cap drain if present to the proper installation torque.
