FIRST TIME INSTALLATION: Fine Tooth Saw Blade or a Set of Heavy Duty Wire Cutters
LOCATION OF CABIN FILTER: : On the passenger side of the vehicle behind the glove compartment in the air conditioner evaporator assembly.
REMOVE ALL DEBRIS IN AND AROUND FILTER LOCATION.
Open the passenger side door and remove passenger side step plate by grabbing under it and pulling it up.
Remove passenger side lower kick panel by removing a plastic screw toward the floor board and pulling the panel loose.
Open glove box and remove the stops by gently pushing inward and sliding back towards the rear of the vehicle.
Using the Phillips-head screwdriver remove the two Phillips-head screws from the hinges at the bottom of the glove box and remove the glove box.
FIRST TIME INSTALLATION ONLY: Using a fine tooth saw blade or a set of heavy duty wire cutters cut the plastic cross bar at each end on the perforations to remove and discard. DO NOT CUT THE METAL CROSS BRACE.
Remove the two 5/16” bolts and two Phillips-head screws on each side securing the metal cross brace and remove brace by sliding down.
Open and remove the cabin filter cover by unlatching the bottom first.
Remove the dirty filter and replace with the new filter making sure the filter is seated to the left.
Position the cabin filter cover back in place and make sure it is secured properly.
Reinstall the metal brace and secure it with the screws you removed earlier.
Reposition the glove box and reinstall the Phillips-head screws on the bottom and reinstall the stops.
Reposition the passenger side kick panel and secure it with the plastic screw.
Snap the passenger side step plate back in position.
