  • Description

FRAM® Fresh Breeze cabin air filters can keep up to 98% of road dust and pollen particles from entering a vehicle. The only cabin air filter that uses the natural deodorizing properties of ARM & HAMMER™ baking soda. Contaminants that enter the vehicle with outside air through the vehicle’s air conditioning, heating and ventilation system can become concentrated and expose passengers to road dust, dirt and allergens at higher levels than outside the car.

    • Filters up to 98% of dust, pollen and other contaminants
    • ARM & HAMMER baking soda combined with carbon embedded in the filter assists in cleaning outside air flowing through the vehicle’s ventilation system
    • Helps protect your vehicle's heating and air conditioning unit while also keeping it working efficiently
    • Installs on average in 15 minutes

    1. Road dust and pollen particles ranging in size from 5-100 microns.

  • Installation

TOOLS: Phillips-head Screwdriver needed for some applications.

LOCATION OF CABIN FILTER: In front of the windshield under the cowl vent screen in the air intake box on the passenger side of the vehicle.

REMOVE ALL DEBRIS IN AND AROUND FILTER LOCATION.

    1. Raise vehicle hood to reach the filter housing cover.
    2. Pull back the weather-stripping located between the strut mount and the cowling starting at the passenger side and stopping at about the half point.
    3. The filter housing cover is located in front of the windshield forward of the passenger-side cowling. There are two different ways the cowl can be secured depending on the vehicle. If you see four screws securing the cowl use a Phillips-head screwdriver and remove the four Phillips-head screws that secure the filter housing cover to the cowling. Remove the cowling and skip directly to step #4. If no screws are present you can just simply lift up the passenger side cowl enough to see the cabin filter housing and you would skip directly to step #5.
    4. Pull the cover toward the front of the vehicle to remove it.
    5. Unlatch left and right clips at the front edge of the filter frame.
    6. Pull the filter and frame out of the housing together.
    7. Remove the old filter from the frame and insert the new one. The filter has notches that line up with tabs in the frame to ensure proper orientation. Note: The last pleat on each end of the filter should fit over the tab at each end of the filter housing for proper installation.
    8. Re-install the frame and filter in the housing. There are three holes in the back of the filter housing to accept the three tabs on the rear of the filter frame.
    9. Re-latch the left and side on the front of the frame. If you had to remove the cowl vent screen on your vehicle go to step #10. If you only had to lift the cowl vent screen on your vehicle skip steps #10 and #11 and go directly to step #12.
    10. Re-install the housing cover If you had to remove for your vehicle.
    11. Re-install the four screws that secure the cover to the cowling if you had to remove for your vehicle.
    12. Return the weather-stripping to its original position.

If the catalog calls out an engine code it can be found in one of three places:

    1. On a sticker located on the engine’s timing cover.
    2. On the apron at the front of the engine compartment.
    3. On either the driver’s door or the frame the door closes into. Normally this is the sticker that also has the VIN.
