TOOLS: T-25 Torx wrench standard screwdriver 7/32 socket and ratchet
LOCATION OF CABIN FILTER: On the passenger side of the vehicle behind the kick panel on the center console.
REMOVE ALL DEBRIS IN AND AROUND FILTER LOCATION.
Open the passenger side door and use your T-25 Torx driver. Remove the screw securing the kick panel to the center console.
Remove the panel from the vehicle by un-clipping it.
Using a flat-head screwdriver remove the push clips from the panel that is below the glove box. The push clips have a groove that the screwdriver fits into. Remove the bottom panel from the vehicle.
Disconnect the electrical connector that hangs in front of the housing by un-clipping the back.
The housing cover has two screws that must be removed. Use your 7/32 ratchet to remove the two screws that hold the housing cover in place. Remove the housing cover.
Remove the old filter by pulling it out of the housing top first.
Install your new cabin filter into the housing. The filter will fit snuggly into the housing.
Reinstall the housing cover and the two screws that secure it.
Reconnect the electrical connector.
Place the panel you removed from the bottom of the glove box back into the vehicle and make sure it sits on top of the foot panel frame.
You must reset the clips before using them to secure the panel. Reinstall the two push clips that secure the panel to the vehicle.
Reinstall the kick panel to the center console. It has a tab at the bottom that hooks a screw near the front of the vehicle and a tab on the side that snaps the vehicle. The tab is at the top that slides into the frame and two tabs that snap the closest part of the panel to the vehicle.
Reinstall the screw that secures the panel to the vehicle using a T-25 Torx driver.
