LOCATION OF CABIN FILTER: On the passenger side of the vehicle in front of the windshield under the cowl vent screen.
REMOVE ALL DEBRIS IN AND AROUND FILTER LOCATION.
With hood closed locate the push type pin on the far passenger end of the cowl vent screen. Remove this pin by pushing in on the center button and pulling the pin free from the cowling. If the pins do not come loose you may use the standard screwdriver to gently pry the pin loose once the center of the pin is pushed in.
Open the hood and remove the remaining 6 to 7 push type pins along the front edge of the cowl vent screen.
Once the push type pins are removed gently pry up the front edge of the cowl vent screen on the passenger side.
You will see a hinged lid in the opening of the cowl vent screen on the passenger side. Unlatch this lid on the front edge and open the hinged lid.
Remove the dirty filter by pulling it out of the housing and replace it with a clean filter.
Close the lid and re-secure the latch.
Reposition the cowl vent screen and align the holes for the push type pins. Re-install the 6 to 7 pins with the center portion of the pin protruding up and insert the pin in the hole. Once the pin is in the hole push in on the center of the pin until the center is flush and the pin is secure.
Close the hood and put the last pin in place on the far passenger side of the cowl and secure it as you did the other pins.
