TOOLS: Needle-nose Pliers Phillips-head Screwdriver and Standard Screwdriver.
LOCATION OF CABIN FILTER: On the passenger side of the vehicle behind the glove box.
REMOVE ALL DEBRIS IN AND AROUND FILTER LOCATION.
While leaning into the passenger side of the vehicle (with glove box closed) remove the two screws at the bottom of the glove box that secure the unit to the vehicle.
Open the glove box and remove the four screws that secure the top of the unit to the vehicle. This includes removing the latch.
Pull down on the glove box to unhook it from the vehicle. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE YELLOW AIR BAG CONNECTORS FROM EACH OTHER OR ALLOW THE GLOVE BOX TO HANG FROM OR STRESS THE YELLOW AIR BAG CONNECTION OR WIRES.
Using pliers unclip the airbag sensor box.
Remove the glove box light connector.
Remove the glove box from the vehicle.
Using a standard screw driver pry the metal clip that secures the filter cover to the housing.
Slide the filter cover up and remove it.
Remove the two old filters from the housing.
Insert the first new filter and hold it towards the top of the housing by its tabs.
Insert the second filter into the housing.
Reinstall the cover by sliding it down.
Reinstall the metal clip that secures the cover to the housing.
While holding the glove box reconnect the airbag sensor box and light connector.
Snap the glove box back into place.
Reinstall the four screws at the top of the glove box. Make sure to reinstall the latch.
Reinstall the two screws at the bottom of the glove box.
