  • Description

FRAM® Fresh Breeze cabin air filters can keep up to 98% of road dust and pollen particles from entering a vehicle. The only cabin air filter that uses the natural deodorizing properties of ARM & HAMMER™ baking soda. Contaminants that enter the vehicle with outside air through the vehicle’s air conditioning, heating and ventilation system can become concentrated and expose passengers to road dust, dirt and allergens at higher levels than outside the car.

    • Filters up to 98% of dust, pollen and other contaminants
    • ARM & HAMMER baking soda combined with carbon embedded in the filter assists in cleaning outside air flowing through the vehicle’s ventilation system
    • Helps protect your vehicle's heating and air conditioning unit while also keeping it working efficiently
    • Installs on average in 15 minutes

    1. Road dust and pollen particles ranging in size from 5-100 microns.

TOOLS: Standard Screwdriver or Blade to pry with and Phillips-head Screwdriver.

LOCATION OF CABIN FILTER: In front of the windshield under the cowl grille with the cabin filter housing cover on the passenger side of the vehicle.

REMOVE ALL DEBRIS IN AND AROUND FILTER LOCATION.

NOTE: A cabin filter may not be present in your vehicle. If this is the case with your vehicle you may add a cabin filter by following these directions. No additional parts are needed to install a cabin filter for the first time in your vehicle.

    1. Sit in the driver side seat insert the key in the ignition and turn on the car.
    2. Turn on windshield wipers then turn off the ignition while the wipers are in the upright position.
    3. Open the hood.
    4. Go outside to the passenger side windshield and in front of the bottom side of the windshield you will see four screw caps at the top of the cowling. Using the Blade or Standard screwdriver gently pry off the screw caps. Once the caps are removed use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the four screws.
    5. Now on the bottom of the same cowling you removed the four screws you will see three screw clips. Remove these clips by pressing up on the bottom of the clips while using the Phillips-head screwdriver to unscrew the top of the clip. Once the screw is removed press up on the clips to remove them.
    6. Remove the passenger side cowling by pulling up around where the bottom clips were.
    7. Remove the cabin filter housing cover by pulling it out at an angle.
    8. If a dirty cabin filter is present in the vehicle remove it. If no filter is present in your vehicle continue directly to step # 9.
    9. Remove any debris from the housing and place the new cabin filter in the housing with the tabs at the four corners of the filter facing up. Press down firmly on the cabin filter to insure it is seated properly.
    10. Reinstall the cabin filter housing cover.
    11. Put the passenger side cowling back in place. Reinstall the three clips along the bottom of the cowling by pushing the bottom portion of the clips in place along the bottom of the cowling and then installing the plastic screw in the bottom portion of the clip and securing them.
    12. Close the hood and reinstall the four screws that secured the top portion of the cowling and cover the screws with the caps you removed earlier.
    13. Sit in the driver side seat and insert the key in the ignition and turn on the car. With the car running turn off the windshield wipers so they return to their original position and then turn off the ignition.
