LOCATION OF CABIN FILTER: Under the dash behind the glove compartment on the passenger side of the vehicle.
REMOVE ALL DEBRIS IN AND AROUND FILTER LOCATION.
Open the passenger side door and look under the bottom edge of the glove box. You will see four screws that secure the bottom of the glove box. (It should be two screws at each end of the glove box.) Using a Phillips-head screwdriver remove these four screws.
Now open the glove box and using the Phillips-head screwdriver remove the four screws securing the top of the glove box assembly. (It should be two screws at each end of the glove box assembly and two close to each other in the center of the glove box assembly.)
You should now be able to pull the glove box assembly straight out of the dash and set it aside.
Look inside the void where the glove box assembly was and look toward the driver side. You should see a vertical cabin filter cover because the cabin filter cover and filter are one. We will now refer to it as the filter. Remove the filter by lifting up on the cover until the tab at the bottom pulls out of the retaining loop and slide the filter out of the housing. You will need to tip the filter up at an angle to get it to slide out of the housing.
Insert the new filter. You will also need to tip the filter up at an angle to get it to slide into position.Once the filter is in the housing remember to lift up on the filter and install the tab at the bottom into the retaining loop. This is important as the filter will not seat properly unless the tab is in the loop. Once it is in the loop make sure the top is snapped into place.
Pick up the glove box assembly and put it back into place.
Using the Phillips-head screwdriver re-install the four top screws.
Close the glove box and using the Phillips-head screwdriver re-install the four bottom screws.
