LOCATION OF CABIN FILTER: Under the dash on the passenger side of the vehicle behind the glove compartment.
REMOVE ALL DEBRIS IN AND AROUND FILTER LOCATION.
While sitting in the passenger seat open the glove box.
To lower the glove box push in on both side panels to clear the glove box stops.
Let the glove box swing all the way downward.
Locate and remove the glove box installation screws one on each side and up to three across the top.
Remove the passenger side console side panel located just left of the glove box.
Disconnect the glove box light harness.
Remove the glove box and glove box retainers and set aside.
Before opening the cabin filter housing cover you will need to disconnect the resistor connector found on the cabin filter cover.
Remove the four clips that secure the filter housing cover in place. Remove by Inserting the tip of a standard screwdriver into the top of each clip and gently prying loose. (Note: Make sure that the screwdriver tip is inserted into the top of the clip and not the middle of the clip. Inserting into the middle of the clip can cause damage to the clip and it will not be reusable!)
Remove the cabin filter housing cover.
Remove both (2) of the old cabin filters. (Note: Pay close attention to which filter design is the upper and which filter design is the lower filter as they will only fit properly if properly installed).
First install the new upper filter making sure that the air flow directional arrow is pointing up.
Next install the lower filter with its air flow directional arrow also pointing up. Also check to make sure that the filter frame tongue and grooves fit properly into the matching filter frame tongue and grooves.
Replace the filter housing cover using the four clips to secure.
Re-connect the resistor connector back to the filter housing cover.
Re-insert the two glove box retainers.
Set the glove box back into position and re-connect the glove box light harness.
Replace the passenger side console panel.
Re-insert screws to secure the glove box in place.
Push inward on both side panels of the glove box while raising up to engage stops.
