LOCATION OF CABIN FILTER: Under the dash behind the glove box on the passenger side of the vehicle.
REMOVE ALL DEBRIS IN AND AROUND FILTER LOCATION.
PLEASE NOTE: If your vehicle came equipped from the factory or dealer with a cabin filter, there will be a label inside the glove box referring to the cabin filter. If your vehicle does not have a label and you want to install a cabin filter, you can add the filter by following these directions. You do not need to buy any additional parts to add a cabin filter to your vehicle.
Open the passenger side door and look under the bottom edge of the glove box. You will see two pins that secure the bottom of the glove box. Use a Standard screwdriver to pry these pins out and remove them.
Sit in the passenger side seat and open the glove box. Look inside the glove box and you will see two pins. Use a Standard screwdriver to pry these pins out part of the way. They do not need to be completely removed.
Now open the glove box and slide the glove box to the left out easily. If you cannot, you may need to pull the pins out a bit further.
You should now be able to pull the glove box assembly straight out of the dash and set it aside. (Before setting the assembly aside it may be necessary to disconnect the electrical connector at the top of the glove box.)
Remove the four screws along the top edge of the glove box frame. Remove the latch strike by pulling it down.
Remove the glove box frame by pulling it out at the top.
Look inside the void where the glove box assembly was and locate the cabin filter cover. Remove the cover by unlatching it at the lower edge and remove it.
Remove the old filter by pulling it straight outward.
Install the new filter with the air flow arrow indicator pointing down.
Reinstall the cabin filter cover.
Pick up the glove box frame and snap it back in place. Reinstall the two outer screws on the top edge of the frame.
Reposition the latch strike back in place. Align the holes in the plate with the holes in the frame. Reinstall the screws.
Reposition the glove box back in place and push the pins all the way back in and close the glove box.

TOOLS: Phillips-head Screwdriver.

Now open the glove box and using the Phillips-head screwdriver remove the four screws securing the top of the glove box assembly. Two of these screws will also secure the latch strike. (It should be two screws at each end of the glove box assembly and two close to each other in the center of the glove box assembly.)
You should now be able to pull the glove box assembly straight out of the dash and set it aside. (Before setting the assembly aside it may be necessary to disconnect the electrical connector at the top of the glove box.)
Look inside the void where the glove box assembly was and locate the cabin filter cover. Remove the cover by unlatching it at the lower edge and remove it.
Remove the old filter by pulling it straight outward.
Install the new filter with the air flow arrow indicator pointing down.
Reinstall the cabin filter cover.
Pick up the glove box assembly and put it back into place.
Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to re-install the four top screws.
Close the glove box and using the Phillips-head screwdriver re-install the three bottom screws.

Look inside the void where the glove box assembly was and locate the cabin filter cover. Remove the cover by unlatching it at the lower edge and remove it.
Remove the old filter by pulling it straight outward.
Install the new filter with the air flow arrow indicator pointing down.
Reinstall the cabin filter cover.
Pick up the glove box assembly.
Grasp the dampening cord and pull it out and slide the clip on the end of the cord back into the slot on the glove box.
Reposition the glove box back in place and the stop on the right is reengaged.
Close the glove box and reinstall the clips your removed earlier from the bottom of the glove box.
