  • Description

FRAM® Fresh Breeze cabin air filters can keep up to 98% of road dust and pollen particles from entering a vehicle. The only cabin air filter that uses the natural deodorizing properties of ARM & HAMMER™ baking soda. Contaminants that enter the vehicle with outside air through the vehicle’s air conditioning, heating and ventilation system can become concentrated and expose passengers to road dust, dirt and allergens at higher levels than outside the car.

    • Filters up to 98% of dust, pollen and other contaminants
    • ARM & HAMMER baking soda combined with carbon embedded in the filter assists in cleaning outside air flowing through the vehicle’s ventilation system
    • Helps protect your vehicle's heating and air conditioning unit while also keeping it working efficiently
    • Installs on average in 15 minutes

    1. Road dust and pollen particles ranging in size from 5-100 microns.
    2. Deodorizing tests used isovaleric acid (sweaty odors), geosmin (earthy odors) and dog hairs.
    3. ARM & HAMMER, the ARM & HAMMER logo and distinct orange trade dress are trademarks of Church & Dwight Co., Inc. and used under license by FRAM Group IP LLC.

  • Installation

TOOLS: Phillips-head Screwdriver; Standard Screwdriver; 9/16” Socket (if applicable)

LOCATION OF CABIN FILTER: In front of the windshield under the cowl vent screen on the passenger side of the vehicle.

REMOVE ALL DEBRIS IN AND AROUND FILTER LOCATION.

    1. While in the driver’s seat put the windshield wiper in the “up” position. This can be done by turning the ignition to “on” setting the wiper speed to slow and turning the ignition to “off” when wipers are straight up.
    2. Open the hood and unhook the washer fluid tube from the cowling located on the passenger side of the car.
    3. Pull the weather-stripping off of the metal frame starting at the passenger side and stopping at the half-way point.
    4. Remove the cowling clip on the outside edge of the cowling closest to the passenger side tire. You may need to pry loose the base of the retainer clip (H004) with a standard screwdriver.
    5. Remove the cowling retainer cap (H005) by unscrewing it with a standard screwdriver.
    6. Some models have a 9/16” bolt in the center of the cowling. Remove this bolt if it is present.
    7. Push the passenger side section of cowling up and out of the way to gain access to the cabin filter. However some models may require that the windshield wiper arm be removed so the cowl can be removed. If your wiper arm is in the up position like we discussed in step #1 but still does not allow the cowl to be removed you will need to remove the windshield wiper arm at this time.
    8. Pull the old filter straight up to clear the filter frame and then toward the front of the car to remove it. The old filter may be equipped with a loop of fabric. Use this to pull it out.
    9. Put the new filter in the housing with the fabric loop facing up. Be sure that it is seated completely in the frame. The new filter has partial cuts in its side-walls to allow it to bend during installation.
    10. Return the cowling to its original position.
    11. Replace the 9/16” bolt (if applicable).
    12. Replace the retainer cap (H005) by pushing it onto the stud.
    13. Replace the retainer clip (H004) by pushing the base into the cowling and frame and then insert the screw.
    14. Re-secure the weather stripping to the frame. If you removed the windshield wiper arm reinstall it at this time.
    15. Hook the washer fluid tube to the cowling.
    16. Close hood and return windshield wipers to park position.
